Hi Everyone,
Washing clothes.Washing more clothes.
Hermana Ponce, Hermana Noj, Hermana Jones
My companions and I at a Cemetery
Me at the Cemetery
Well.....my confidence
has definitely gone up! My comps are amazing in every way and really have become
good friends. I can't believe how well they know me in such little time.
Well...I am pretty easy to read. Ha-ha. But they are so helpful! I am very
lucky to have them both here.
My zone leaders and district leader have been pretty concerned
about me with my stress. I always get stressed about the work and really
shouldn't. I just have that personality trait like when I am teaching. But I am
calming down and taking it easy. Still working very hard but lightening up.
Ha-ha. I enjoy every day but just stress out a little bit about the little
things. Just making my weaknesses strengths. Ha-ha. There are always things we
can do better.
Investigators:
Brenda: baptism date
June 1st. she's totally progressing. Came to church on Sunday and kept saying
how she wanted to cry because she felt something very special. I translated for
her in church....very tiring! And kind of hard. There were times where I got
caught up in the talks and forgot she was waiting for me. Ha-ha. Oh and my
English kind of sucks. It takes me a little while to really think about what I
want to say. I talk in English to comps and Spanish to Brenda on accident
getting all mixed up. Ha-ha. They just laugh. Like I asked Brenda if I could
see her scriptures to show her something. I waited and then she said...you just
talked to me in Spanish. We started laughing. I get a little bit mixed up now.
Kind of tough and embarrassing. Yikes! But she is great. The talks were about
following the prophet. She got so excited after one of them and said....I love
this church! It all makes sense. I just said...that's because it's true! She's
a great woman.
Jaqueline: Yeudi's
cousin...totally progressing. Her baptism is scheduled for May 25th. She loves
the Book of Mormon. Her mom is crazy and totally says bad things about her.
It's sad. She would rather stay with us than go home.
Marleni and Fabiola:
Jahleel's mom and sister are going to be baptized May 18th. They really turned
around this week due to some things Elder Bergeson told them. They have changed
so much. We visited them on Saturday and they were all smiles. Marleni could
not stop smiling. She said they have been praying together, reading together.
She said she wouldn't be able to come to church because she needed to go get
some meat for the week. I told her that if she came to church tomorrow, she
would receive all the food necessary for the week. Well...needless to say, she
came to church on Sunday and went to ALL the meetings!
Yeudi and Pricilla:
still going super strong! Love them. We are teaching Yeudi's sister, and
brother and his wife this week. It's like everyone in Cachi is their family and
wants to listen to us now. It's incredible. I feel like we have opened an area
in Cachi. It's so much fun!
Zone leaders are still
teasing me and my comps. They told us the assistants were coming to our meeting
and wanted to do divisions to see how our area is. They want to change a few
things in Paraíso. I got super nervous and said to my comps we need to plan
really well for the next day. Then in the meeting, the zone leaders said it was
all a joke. Such punks. Whatever. But we all have some fun with them. It’s been
good.
I love my mission and am
so grateful to be here. My comps are doing so much better. Hna. Noj is just
fine. I’ve lightened up on her. Hna. Ponce is rocking like usual. She stresses
out just like me so trying to help her out. We have a lot of fun. I actually
really like working in a trio. It’s more fun. Anyway...got to head out. Love
you all so much. Can’t wait to talk with you. Hope your kiddos remember who I
am. Ha-ha. Anyway. xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxxoox
Hna. Jones
