Sounds like everyone had a great Fourth of July!!! I did too!!!!
You know how I am with holidays. I always have to wear the colors of the holiday. Totally planned it out too. Not surprising at all. Wore my red, white and blue. Ha-ha. And...Wrote the pledge of allegiance and the song. Totally sang it with my comp. Later that night, at our FHE with the ward and investigators, a sweet member baked and gave us some legit American cupcakes! They were delish! It's the states birthday...you have to eat cake. Ha-ha. Anyway...it was fun and everyone told me happy July 4th. They always laugh at me and think I'm so goofy and crazy. But it was fun. I'm so glad you all had fun. Just think...next year...legit picnic, lake and s'mores with baseball....typical Fourth of July. Oh and hamburgers. It's funny because my comp is from El Salvador and so she obviously makes pupusas (typical food from there). When people ask me what I make from the states, they always say...can you make hamburgers. Ha-ha they think that's all we eat. I just laugh and say of course.
You all sound crazy busy
with the summer! Can’t believe all your fun activities you are doing. The
little ones are just partying each day. And tell Cameron, I did hear his
scream. I screamed back and said LOVE YOU! I seriously talk about them all the
time. All the members and my investigators tell me that Olivia and Kennedy look
like me. And for the first time IN MY LIFE I heard last night that I look like
my brothers. Weird. Didn’t know how to respond.
...the week. Well...we
have a baptism scheduled for this Saturday. His name is Roger. He is in his 50's and has been taking
the lessons for 2 weeks now. This is his third week. He is INCREDIBLE! We have
been focusing with him on the Holy Ghost. In our lesson on Saturday with the
Azofeifas, he said....baptize me on Saturday. So...his interview is tomorrow.
It has just been a neat experience. I wrote what mom wrote me on our wall and
read it again last night. It basically said that the people we plan usually
aren't baptized in the beginning...then we pray and pray and are SUPER obedient....then
Heavenly Father knows He can trust us so He blesses us with someone REALLY
READY. It all is due to humility and obedience. We have been doing just that.
AND HE'S GOING TO BE BAPTIZED!!!!!!! So excited. So we are planning that. He's
a great man. We care so much about him and really all the people we have been teaching. We have been so blessed. Laura and Moises are getting there little
by little. Nothing is impossible with Heavenly Father. We have found a lot of new people
to teach. Oh but we did find out that an inactive mother's son (both inactive)
who is 11 years old was just diagnosed with leukemia and might die. Please pray
for them. Her name is Noelia and his name is Kennal. We know that coming back to church would bring her comfort and member support. Members would really rally around her and give her so much love and comfort. We will continue to work and pray for good things to happen for her and her son. We have found many more members who have become inactive we are going to begin working with. If only people could realize all the blessings and love that Jesus Christ has for us. His Atonement is the ultimate gift and expression of love. I am so grateful to share this message with the people here in Costa Rica. So blessed!
Love you so much. xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo
