New Companion: Noelia Maria Corrales
Same Area: Alajuela, Costa Rica

HOLY COW!!! Can’t believe how fast Halloween went. I totally got everyone stoked about Halloween. Ha-ha my comp and I took tons of photos but sadly this computer is super slow so I can only send a few this time. I'll show you the rest in a few weeks...in person. Ha-ha. Ok...more than a few. But still. Ha-ha. Anyway. We made the masks that mom sent me in the package last year and took them with us everywhere with the people we taught. Everyone was all about Halloween. We went with the elders to buy some chocolate to enjoy the beauty of Halloween. Ha-ha. I had to explain to people that we do not celebrate Satan in the states...it's just a day for an excuse to eat candy. Ha-ha but we enjoyed it. We sort of dressed up. Ha-ha. I LOVED YOUR COSTUMES. Dad and mom.....did you guys dress up like the coolest most awesome parents?? Oh wait...that's just you guys....already SO AWESOME! Oh Bob's pumpkin patch. We are all so going there next year. It was so fun. Loved it! So anyway...I copied all your pics so I can go and print them out. You guys are way too nice to send some pics. No lie....maybe cried a little bit with the kiddos. They are so darling and can't wait to hang out with them all. You guys all will have the best babysitter and free. ME! I will be happy to watch them all. So cute. Their little costumes. Costa Rica is kind of like the states in that they have decorations of Halloween and all know about it. There were fireworks and such but not like trick or treating. Oh well...little by little. Actually Costa Rica is super gringo. It’s funny. Anyway. So glad that you guys are happy and doing so well. Well...haven't read read your letters so maybe not and I'm just saying that. Ah oh. Hope you're doing well. Ha-ha. Anyway. Oh...btw next year....world championship in graham cracker haunted house competition do-over. Ty...you are so going down with your laffy taffy business. Ha-ha. I've got the kiddos and we will conquer. :):) Just some ideas. Maybe we'll do graham cracker leprechaun house when I get back. Ha-ha.

Ok...well...me....I did read your letters from last week and THANK YOU SO MUCH! My journal is full of cut outs of your letters of advice and counsel I never want to forget. The talks also were so helpful! I really needed what you guys said. I'm doing so great! You can probably tell from how I am writing because I write how I talk. My comp is AMAZING! I'm training. We went to San Jose to drop off my old comp... So we met up with President and a few other of my friends. I said...so President, what's happening with me. What do you want with me? Ha-ha. And he laughed and said...you see that little sister over there....you're training her. And then in our meeting with all the trainers, he said...Hermana Jones here will be finishing her mission in Alajuela training. Yep...I almost started crying at the thought of coming home. I want to be with you guys but shoot...you all know...your mission becomes like home and family. But anyway my comp is SO SO AWESOME!!! She actually reminds me a lot of me in the way she acts and how I was at the beginning of my mission. We are so similar. She loves talking with people and is always smiling...such a positive attitude. Her name is Noelia Maria Corrales. She's 19...ALMOST 20...her birthday is in 2 weeks and she's from....COSTA RICA. Ha-ha. Yep. She a tica and was sent to her own country. So fun. She's happy and likes it. But pretty sure she's happy with anything. We are both so chill in the way we do things yet also super organized. She's helping me a ton and wants to work with all the members. She is an excellent missionary already and I couldn't be any happier to finish my mission with her. We already had such a great half week together. We're more like friends and just having fun. I have totally calmed down and not going to stress the last part of my mission. Sara sent me a really good motivational letter about how Heavenly Father determines our success. I still work hard but I'm super relaxed....super relaxed is like everyone else at normal. Just being me if that makes sense. We have been working with the members and they are SO AWESOME. I am so happy. One member said...this is the first time the missionaries have been to my home. And another sister...secretary of Relief Society gave us a list of sisters she doesn't know that we can go look for and a lot of other helpful information...she said...why didn't you ask for this before. Well...the other missionaries didn't believe in working with members but we do. It's awesome. And we had a great meeting with the bishop about how to help out. We got some great ideas to get started for this week. I have decided that even if for the next two weeks we have low numbers but high member help, then we are great and paving the way for the future. We just have to show the members how to work and share the gospel. They want to and have a desire to just don't know how. So...we are so getting on that. PLUS....we got a new district leader!!! HE'S SO AWESOME! Elder Bennion. He's such a great missionary. He's from Utah and goes home at the same time with me so maybe you guys will all meet him. We're pretty sure we'll both finish here together. He has such a positive attitude and a desire to work with the members! We are all just getting to work and it's so awesome. He also likes baseball. Not throwing that in there like anything but we might all play catch one pday. So...anyway. Things are really great. Now with investigators...well...they're fine. It’s interesting. Not really sure what to tell you about with all of them. We some great members coming with us so that's awesome. We met some others through contacting old investigators. We are using our Area Book a ton! Trying to get out and rescue. Nadim and Patricia are planning their baptism. It's so funny because we said...the font is full and ready for you guys. They crack me up because I know they'll get baptized this year...it's just getting their kids moving in the same direction so we can baptize all 6 of them. They are practically already members and the members all know them. It's great.
Hna. Cardenaz went home. We all slept in the same house of sisters before she left so that was good to have one last night together. She was really sad to go but I hope she's doing well. She’ll be coming to my homecoming. It's weird being one of the oldest sisters in our mission. Not sure what to do. It's like in high school when you are the senior. Ha-ha. But anyway. Got to head out. Sorry...not sure what else to tell you guys. Today we went to price smart with the elders and now we are going to play soccer...maybe. Ha-ha. We are just living it up and having fun.  So not trunky. Just working hard to finish strong. Love you all. Pray for you all and the kiddos. Give them all a kiss from me and tell them I love them.

Love you all have a great week. Smile and be happy each day. We all have a reason to be happy each day. xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxooxoxHermana Jones
