Happy Thanksgiving Everyone
Dear Family -
Ok......so......I'm doing GREAT! We had baptism on
Saturday!!! Eilyn was baptized! It was so awesome and so exciting. She was so
darling and super nervous. Ha-ha. But it was a private baptism...just Elin and
her family. Her siblings all came. AHHH...one of her siblings...Xiomara is
SUPER GORGEOUS and...during the baptism, had tears in her eyes. She came to
church on Sunday and I talked with her a little bit. She's a year older than
me. The lesson on Sunday was about eternal marriage. She recently has a boyfriend
and said that she wants to start out on the right path...leading towards
Heavenly Father. She said...I've been to many churches before looking for the
truth and I don't know why but I just feel so good here. I told her it was the
Holy Ghost testifying to her that this is good and this is true...where she
should be. We talked about the blessings of eternal marriage and how to know
which church is the right and correct church. We are going to visit her on
Tuesday and watch the Restoration movie. But she was so sweet and had tears in
her eyes. I said...you are the best. She said why do you think that? I
said...well...because you are a daughter of God looking for the truth. I went
on to say...you are a princess and only deserve the best...a man who treats you
how you should be treated. She teared up, hugged me and said thanks. She's so
amazing and said she can't wait to come next week and go to the Young Single
Adults class. We are really excited for her and her mom. Carmen, the mom, is
progressing very well...especially after the baptism of her daughter. She
teared up a lot and said...wow...all my children are getting baptized in this
church. Her daughter said...when's your baptism? She said...very soon. Ha-ha.
AHHH we are so excited.
We went and bought an apple pie with the Elders and are
going to eat it with our mission leader Thursday night in our meeting. We'll
see if we celebrate it with all the food. I doubt it. But we are grateful for
so many things each day. We live in Thanksgiving each and every day.
We are working on getting more references from EVERYONE which
is really great. We are opening our mouths more and talking with everyone.
We actually found a lot of people last week through just that. So we are being
more productive. We had a day full seriously of teaching references and then
asking for others and are going to teach them. One of the references that we
received came to church on Sunday and her husband was ready to come but got
called in to work. It was so awesome. We saw success in that. Eddy finally came to church yesterday which was
great! He is progressing towards his date for baptism.
Anyway.
Things are good. I'm doing great. Comp is awesome. We are super happy and
working really really hard. There are good and bad days but we try to find the
good in everything. I'm learning so much about Heavenly Father and my
relationship with Him. My testimony has totally grown in that aspect. We are
being safe and smart. I promise! I'm doing well. Super excited to talk with you
all. Know that I love you all and pray for you all every day a million times a
day. You guys are the best support system. xoxoxoxoxoxoxooxoxxooxxoxooxxooxxo
